monday bouquet:
1. Thanks for: Time and how it changes me. What a wonder to really live out being “rebuilt from ruins” and “reborn from ashes.” You take my mourning and turn it into dancing. You take my weeping and turn it into laughing. You take my weakness and turn it into joy. Hallelujah. You make all things new.
2. Thanks for: the publix giftcard from mom and dad. I am so grateful for generous parents who take good care of me. They see my need and want to meet it. Their love is that simple and that powerful.
3. Thanks for: a new perspective on life. Once I discovered that I was already exactly what I needed to be and where I needed to be, I stopped worrying about how I would make everything happen. I just started letting life move and starting seizing the frames and gleaning joy from moments big and small. I don’t worry about being successful or important. I don’t worry about being boring or silly or small. I wake up and cry out for nearness to something bigger and better. Something that really makes everything worth it.
4. Thanks for: The little things. The commonplace things. Those are the things I cherish and miss when they’re not around. They make life rich with meaning and purpose. I believe to dive deeper and draw nearer to these things that seem so small, we will find what is really big and really good. Deeper, deeper in and further, further up. They are always bigger on the other side.

Absolutely true. I remember this most when I ride my bike or go for a run or even stroll downtown. Perspective is always something to be thankful for.

birdsonwires asked: i love, love your new blog stace! one of my life goals is to start writing again and i think that starts with blogging. and i think i need to give my blog a little makeover! want to help me sometime this week? I LOVE YOU DEARLY.

Yes, yes, yes! I had to do one for class and I love it! I would love to help you!

Thanks for: the blessing of worshiping with best friends. I love this part of Sunday mornings. Working out the kinks of the set, warming up sleepy vocal chords, getting my heart right. This is where I put aside myself and let You do your work. And you change me. Always. Thank you for helping me be a creature of light and love. You’re so worth it. Everything. Every time.

Thanks for: honeysuckle. One of my most favorite things about spring. Reminds me of days past sucking the nectar out of bottoms and gathering those little strawberries that would grow at the bottom of the hill our house was set on. Spring was magical there. We sat under canopies of green leaves and imagined we were nymphs and lived off the land.

Thursday Bouquet

1. The encouraging words from my classmate after Dramatic Writing. I was so nervous having the class read my script in class today. You made it all worth it. I hope you do get to see and enjoy the film someday. :)

2. Providence in the morning. Left my keys in your car and you came to pick me up and drop me off at class and then picked me up after class. You never grumble or complain. You always serve with a smile and more grace than I deserve. Thank you.

3. An afternoon nap. The little laughs I couldn’t help but let out after seeing my post-sleep hair (think fraggle rock). It is nice to be reminded not to take myself too seriously.

4. Spare time. I actually looked through a magazine and watched a tv episode online. These things do not happen often. I am glad for a full life, but sometimes it is just nice to have time for commonplace indulgences.

5. Mercy. Grace. It changes my life daily when you speak into my heart that I am no longer living for approval or success. I am living because I am loved and swept up in love. And I will live life well and help others live life well because of it.

thanks for: the wisdom and perspective that comes with age. makes me appreciate every future birthday already.

Live your adventure. Go out into the world and be daring. Start fresh or take an idea to the next level. Travel abroad or look for new places in your town. Whether big or small adventures help let us know we are alive, they are our breath of fresh air!
